Other methods of cooking get dangerously hot on the outside, but the Solar Oven Kit traps all of its heat inside the vacuum cooking tube. Enjoy solar cooked food without the danger of burns.
Bake, boil, or fry anywhere
Compact enough to take on the go. You can cook anywhere the sun shines. Plus every package includes a carrying bag with drawstrings to become a backpack.
Set up in seconds
How To In Five Steps, 1) attach the brackets to the tube, 2) slide the reflectors in-between the brackets, 3) load the tray with food, 4) point at Sun, 5) enjoy a hot meal after 15 minutes
Solar Oven Kit Features
Kickstand
There are three built-in tilt angles, and dual kickstands allow you to catch low-angle sunlight.
Sun Dial
Worried about sun alignment? Simply make the shadow from the peg as small as possible.
Grab Hook Lid
The oven’s lid has a built-in grabber hook, allowing you to easily and safely remove the tray.
How it Works
The Solar Oven Kit uses a vacuum insulated cooking tube to catch and store sunlight as heat. The heat builds inside to cook food, while staying cool to touch on the outside.

Love this lil kit oven! .
Love this. It makes my second cup of boiling water for tea each morning. And it cooks up one person meals or a side dish in combo with my Gosun Sport. I appreciate having the ability to conserve for my electric bill as the bills had gone up. I like that if I loose power as I do up here in the mountains, I can cook if the sun is out at least partly. . And cook with Sun light ☀️. The e tray from my Go fits in here too.
Looks Like the One I Build in the 1970s
I wrote about it and included a side by side picture at http://solarray.blogspot.com/2024/02/two-solar-parabolic-troughs.html and https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/2/7/2222127/-Two-Solar-Parabolic-Troughs One of the comments at Dailykos mentioned Arctic Solar (https://articsolar.com) is making parabolic troughs with heat pipe absorbers. Haven’t used it yet so I can’t tell you about performance and ease of use. Thanks for taking the good idea we both had and taking it to the market. Perfect little oven
I fired up my new GoSun Solar Oven Kit that I just received yesterday. To try it out, I chose to cook sweet potatoes, as they are very dense. They cooked up perfectly! Great little oven for side dishes, small meals, backpacking, etc. Very easy to assemble/disassemble & stow in the included backpack, and I love it!
The solar oven kit works great for snacks and individual items
I've had the solar oven kit for about a year now. Got it from a third party seller before gosun had them available on this site. We have used it several times and have been very happy with it. The only con is the lack of protection for the tube. Be sure to protect it will when transporting.
